notMENSA History In 1912 John Nobraininhishead applied for membership of an extremely elitist club for rather smart intellectuals. Having studied for days before sitting the entrance exam he was devastated at being refused membership on the grounds that he was insane and poor. Rather than committing suicide (which he had already done several times before), as most dejected and rejected people do, John used his disappointment fruitfully. Within six-months he had established a society for the hard of thinking - notmensa. At first getting members was almost impossible as most eligible men and women were just too damn stupid to be able to fill in even the simplest application form. (some could not even write an X to sign their name) However, in the 1990's, with the rapid growth of the internet more and more moronic, dim-witted people were spending countless hours surfing the internet in a feeble attempt to add meaning to their miserable existences. as more and more simpletons stumbled across the notmensa website membership rose exponentially. Now in its umpteenth year notmensa has over 503,042 members across 112 different countries.
